💬 What This Means
Inventory levels continue to hold relatively steady as we move deeper into fall, though a few towns saw slight adjustments this week. Elgin remains the clear leader in total active listings and new construction, followed by Bartlett and St. Charles/Campton Hills, which continue to show robust builder activity.
On the leaner side, Medinah, Itasca, and Winfield remain the tightest submarkets, while Glen Ellyn and Batavia show healthy balance between detached and attached options. Buyers looking for new homes have their best opportunities in Elgin, Bartlett, and St. Charles/Campton Hills, whereas move-in-ready resale homes continue to sell quickly across most of DuPage and Kane counties.
