Cinnabar Pointe is a 76-unit townhome community along Nicole Drive, near Stearns Road and County Farm Road on the DuPage County side of Bartlett. The townhomes went up in the late 1980s — MLS records show build years of 1988 and 1989 — and they are two-story attached homes with garages and private outdoor space.
These are compact townhomes. Recent listings have run roughly 960 to 1,250 square feet above grade with one-car garages, which puts Cinnabar Pointe at the smaller, more affordable end of attached housing in Bartlett. Several homes have finished lower levels, so the space you actually live in can be meaningfully larger than the listed square footage — that is worth checking room by room rather than trusting the headline number.
What varies here is nearly everything else: full or finished basements, fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets, end-unit locations and additional finished lower-level living space all turn up in some homes and not others. Two Cinnabar Pointe listings at the same square footage can be genuinely different properties.

Cinnabar is a mineral — the bright red ore that mercury is refined from — and the model names that have historically been associated with this community follow the same idea: Amethyst, Beryl, Crystal and Diamond. A gemstone set, in alphabetical order, which is the sort of naming convention a late-1980s builder used to signal a step up through the price list.
